My Scrap Space

UPDATE: Here are pictures of my new desk. The white looks so much better, and I love how big it is!

Lately there have been a lot of consultants asking about storing paper, stamps, etc, so I figured I'd post my room here. It's not a huge space, but I like having somewhere to work and not have to worry about cleaning it up right away. And in case you are wondering, no, it isn't always this clean. :o)

Above: old desk ; Below: new desk

View towads the door. You can see my stamp storage on the left.

For my stamps I use the 97 cent CD crates from Wal Mart. They hold about 18 stamp sets each, and I have them organized by color, and then put in alpha/numerical order. The My Acrylix Organizer holds my Month Word Puzzles.

I LOVE my Expedite bookcases from IKEA. They hold so much stuff! This one has my albums, Cutttlebug, Bind-It-All, Xyron, Catties, CTMH How-To books, CTMH Organizers (blocks, ribbon rounds, eyelets) basket of woodies, and numerous photo boxes (pictures, swaps, cards, etc).

These old spice racks got a fresh coat of paint and then distressed. I used them as cute organizers for My Accents, Ribbon Rounds, Re-inkers, etc.

Here is the majority of my paper storage. CTMH cardstock is in the tall paper organizer. I remove all cardstock from my level 2 paper packs, then store in its own ziplock bag. It is organized by color, in rainbow order. My B&T/paper packs are stored in the white sterilite drawers. They are organized by theme (Boy, Girl, Christmas, Floral, etc.) The top drawer is layouts I am in the process of working on, or layouts I need to put in an album.

My dad made me this shelf. It holds a hodge podge of items- Spritz cleaner, extra ribbon rounds, liquid glass, prizma glitter, embossing powder. It also holds little things I have made, or that people have given me.

This is another Expedite bookcase. This one can also be stood up, to be a tall bookcase, but I like it on its side. It give me another workstation for cutting on my cutters or using my cricut. The brown basket holds tools I use frequently, like my embossing gun, and bind it all tools.

My husband made me the long brown shelf for my inks. It's perfect! The white organizer on top is made my Making Memories. It holds my smaller cutters, stapler, crop-a-dile, adhesive, pop-dots, waxy flax, and my copy of current catties. It can also be mounted on the wall, but it is pretty heavy (even empty), so I just set it on top of my bookcase, in easy reach of my desk.
This is a view of the rest of the room. I HAVE to be facing the TV to scrap. I do most of my work on Sundays, during football.
I hope you have enjoyed checking out my space! I know I always love looking at everyone elses!
