Update: My Scrap Space

A few months ago I posted my scrapbooking room, and mentioned that I was thinking about getting a new desk. Well, I came across an old, huge solid wood desk that was too good to pass up! I few coats of white paint and it looks great! The best part is that it was free and I saved it from a landfill!

Click on the link on the right sidebar if you want to check it out the rest of my room.

Jingle Christmas Cards

Pink is my favorite color...so you know I LOVE the Jingle paper pack! I had some time to play today, so here are a few of the cards I came up with.

Stamp Sets: Holiday Jingle, Say it in Style (hint: "Wishing You..." was acheived by masking over "well" on the Wishing You Well stamp)

Embelishments: Lots of tulip and white daisy brads, juniper and creme brulee ribbon, scalloped edge from Dimensional Elements, inked with juniper ink and a sponge dauber. Snowflake background is a cuttlebug embossing plate.

Fall Card- Twitterpated

This simple card is made with Twitterpated lv 2 paper and Thoughtful Seasons stamp set. I also used a little bit of natural hemp and desert sand textured cardstock.

Halloween Goodies

I made these little matchbook halloween goodies after a fellow CTMH consultant posted them on the CTMH website. I thought they were so cute and they were super easy to make! The "eyes" are lifesaver mints, with circles punched out of purple cardstock. I used a silver gel pen to make the white line on the eyeballs.
I hope to have a template section up soon, and I'll post instructions there.

I used Enchanted lv 2 paper, and Whooo Loves You, Say It in Style, and Festivities stamp sets.

Back Country Tackle Box

I needed to make a "guy gift" for someone who fishes a lot. I remember a fellow CTMH consultant posting a project like this, but couldn't remember what it looked like, so I had to improvise a little.

I used Back Country Lv 2 paper pack, with World's Best Dad.

The fishing supplies are:
Sinkurs- Whoppers
Biggin' Bait- Sour Gummy Worms
Fishin' Lurs- Swedish Fish
Bobburs- Red/White stripped peppermint balls. (couldn't find anything else red and white).
Nitecrawlurs- Gummy Worms

And yes, the spelling errors are intentional. :o) Sorry about the picture quality. It seems my good camera is always dead when I need it.

Sweet Home- Regionals Layout

This layout features Sweet Home lv 2 paper pack and Posterboard Alphabet. I love that you can see the paper pattern through the letters! I used Tree Tops stamp set, but this layout looks super cute with Neighborhood also! I used Dimensional Elements- On Target for the circles, then sponged them with Indian Corn Blue ink. This layouts has a ton of pop dots on it to give it a lot of dimension.

Twitterpated Top 5 Layout

Here is my entry for the layout contest. I was so happy to make Top 5!

I used Twitterpated Lv 2 paper pack, Color Ready Alphas, Heartfelt Whimsey, Heartfelt Wonder, Fancy Cut Botanicals, Buttons, Brads, and Waxy Flax.

MN Regionals Top 5 Layout Entries

CTMH holds a layout and card contest at their Regional Celebrations. The criteria for this contest was to use Heartfelt diecuts (Whimsey, Wonder, or both!). CTMH staff narrows the entries down to the Top 5, and then the consultants get to vote on the winner.

Here are the Top 5 entries.

The beautiful blue layout was voted as the winner!

The Inside Scoop

If you love our How-To books, get ready! Jeanette hinted that she will have a new book coming out in the Spring 2010 Idea Book! And it just may feature "Altered" projects! How fabulous would that be?

Also, you won't want to miss the January, February and March Stamps of the Month! We got a sneak peek and you're gonna love them!

The Spring 2010 Idea Book goes live January 1, 2010. Contact me to find out how you can get your free copy!

Regionals Celebration Artwork

Here are a few of the projects we made this weekend.

Noel Garland featuring Around the Holidays Card Kit. Most people spelled the word "Joyful". I chose to use Noel. The possibilities are endless with this card kit! The kit includes 12 cards. That's 2 garlands per package if you use 6 card bases. Use 4 card bases and you can get 3 garlands per package!

The best part is that it has everything you need!
12 Circle Card Bases
3 My Stickease® Adhesive Sheets
50 3-D Foam Squares
Chocolate Dot Organdy Ribbon

Add a few buttons and sparkles if you really want to dress it up a bit! Letters are stamped from Posterboard E-size stamp set.

It's a Wide World layout featuring Twitterpated Level 2 paper pack and stickease, Basic Craft Buttons, natural hemp and sparkles.

CTMH Regional Celebration

I finally made it home from CTMH Regional Celebration. It was such a blast!

Here is a sneak peek of an upcoming Spring 2010 item! We asked... Jeanette listened! These cute My Creations Journals have chipboard covers, with a page protector attached to the front. They have unlined pages inside, perfect for journaling, doodling, and stamping! The wire binding is just begging to have ribbon tied around it!

Sorry for the picture quality. I took my old camera with me, that way if I lost it I wouldn't be too upset.

These will make adorable Christmas gifts for my 14 y/o daughters friends!
