Color Me Monday Card

I'm running a week behind on Jeanette Lynton's Color Me Monday Challenge. But it's not when you do it, as long as you do it, right?

Last weeks color color combo was Cranberry, Creme Brulee, Sorbet and Desert Sand. The card design is from Wishes- Designer Tag, and the stamp set used is Delight in Everything. I also used creme brulee and sorbet brads and ribbon. The scalloped edge is Dimensional Elements Borders, that I sponged with Sorbet ink. The patterned paper is from the Key to my Heart paper pack special. Love that paper!

Christmas in July!

Yesterday I was able to finish up some Christmas tags for a swap I am in with another consultant. It was a little hard to get into the Christmas spirit when it is 100+degrees outside. Luckily a trip to Hobby Lobby for tiny jingle bells was just the motivation I need! I can't believe how much Christmas stuff they have out already. I even started wishing we lived someplace that got snow. That lasted about 5 minutes when visions of snow angels turned to me scraping my car windows. :o)

Here are the tags I came up with.

On this tag I used one of my favorite stamp sets- Merry Persuits. The little elves are just too cute! "To and From" came from No Peeking. I used Evensong Creative Basics with Garden Green ribbon and cranberry eyelets.

This 3" circle tag is made from Aspen lv 2 paper pack, Snow Friends stamp set for the cute little snowman, sassy stands to make his scarf, and the "to and from" came from Annotations. I used the blending pen and ink pads (outdoor denim and twilight) to color his hat. The little snowflake embellishment came from HL.

I used Evensong Creative Basics collection, December Word Puzzle for the trees and stars, and Frosty Friends (retired) for the "to and from". The white ribbon is from our White Daisy ribbon rounds, and the red polka dots is from HL.

Each Monday, Jeanette Lynton posts a Color Me Monday color combo on her blog. This week it was Hollyhock, Key Lime, Grey Wool and Baby Pink. These colors were perfect for the Summer Sweetness stamp set!

Animal Cookies Creative Basics

As we gear up for a new catalog release, I can't help but dream about the new products we will get. One of the first things I look for in each new catalog is the Creative Basics paper pack and ribbon kit. Each one has been more fabulous than the last, and Animal Cookies was no exception! Using the double sided paper and white ribbon, It's a Zoo stamp set, I added a few extra buttons, some white ric rac and brads to come up with these cards and pages.

my name is Verna...I'm a Swap-addict

This past weekend was very productive for me! Along with being a scrapaholic, I am a swap-addict. I have no free time, yet I continue to sign up for swap after swap. I promise my friends and family that this is the last one, and the next thing I know I am signed up for another one...with multiple rounds!! I was able to complete 4 rounds this weekend!

This card is for my unit meeting this month. I used Magic Moments lv 2 paper pack, You're a Hoot stamp set, vineyard berry ribbon, and sparkles!

These 3 cards are 3x3 thank you cards for Tracy Sims swap.

Unforgettable Lv 2 paper pack, Asperations stamp set, colonial white brads.

Card 2:

Daydream lv 2 paper pack; stamp sets: Happy Endings, Thoughtful Seasons; markers: sunflower, blush; blush waxy flax; holly hock eyelets; cream ribbon.

Card 3:

That's Amore lv 2 paper pack, Asperations Stamp set for the flower, and cocoa cardstock ran through my cuttlebug (swiss dots folder). The inside is stamped with "thank you" from Say it in Style.

Cupcakes Galore!

My favorite trend this past year has to be cupcakes! They are everywhere! It didn't take long for CTMH to give us an adorable stamp set and bright colorful paper perfect for cupcakes!

I made this cupcake for my friends birthday. It was a lot of work, but I think it turned out cute for my first try! Most of the paper cupcakes I saw were gift card holders. I didn't need a gift card holder, but I loved the idea of the cupcake hiding something in the middle. The top pulls off to reveal a small accordian album inside! I used Emporium Lv 2 paper pack, Just Blooms, Sparkles, ribbon, a Pretty Pin for the cherry, and LOTS of hot glue!
